Dan Litov, PhD

Clinical Experience

 

2006 to Present: Director, ADVANCED APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY, Inc.

2007 to 2013: Chief Psychologist, INSTITUTE FOR MULTICULTURAL COUNSELING AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (IMCES).

Dr Litov founded IMCES' APA Accredited Predoctoral Internship program in concert with the director, and ran it till his retirement in 2013.

2005 - 2007Post-Doctoral Internship, SYLMAR HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTER (SHRC).

SHRC is an inpatient hospital in Los Angeles County where Dr. Litov worked with clients with mental health issues ranging from Major Depression to Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia.  Many clients had chemical dependency in addition to their primary clinical psychology disorder.

At UCLA Dr. Litov worked at the UCLA Anxiety Lab, run by Dr. Michelle Craske, one of the most renown psychology researchers on anxiety in the USA.  Much of the work done by Dr. Craske has informed psychology's current understanding of how certain anxiety disorders are developed, maintained, and how they can be treated.
